This is Stan Jones, Senate candidate in Montana in 2002.

Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Stan Jones, speaks Sept. 23, 2002, during a debate at the Great Falls Civic Center in Great Falls, Mont. Jones has a distinct blue-gray skin color, the result of taking too much of an anti-bacterial form of pure silver. Jones said he started taking colloidal silver in 1999 in preparation for what he feared might be Y2K disruptions that could lead to a shortage of antibiotics. (AP Photo/The Tribune, John W. Liston)

  1. Colloidal silver. -_-
Snake oil supposed to have antibacterial and curitive properties…
    It does not.

    1. It’s one of the stranger snake oil type cures, and it makes me wonder how anyone got this idea.

      1. I’m friends with someone who is slightly blue, who drinks the stuff! people are a bit nuts.

        1. I kind of want to know how ANYONE started doing this in the first place. Who had the idea that DRINKING SILVER would be a good idea?

          1. It’s like a family tradition thing. His parents think it’s legit and he just kinda goes with the flow. So I guess a parent or grandparent thought it was good and it just sort of caught on and took the family by storm?

For the most part it doesn’t seem to do much harm so I guess let them be blue if they want.
