Apparently, Donald Duck was named after our Don Bradman. While the Australian Cricket team was in the US for a series of matches, Walt Disney overheard a conversation saying that Donald (Bradman) was out for a duck.
That’s the most widely accepted story, and, as always, it’s an interesting story.
